About
Perry Margouleff has spent a lifetime in recording studios. After building numerous recording studios and running a commercial facility for 30 years, he felt it was time to create the ultimate expression of what a recording studio should be—an instrument you play from within.
The most important part of a studio is the sound of its live room. That being said, we paid meticulous attention to the signal path, utilizing some of the finest all-discrete transistor and vacuum tube technology ever built. Starting with the legendary EMI TG12345 MKIV console built for Abbey Road Studio 2, and supported by an extensive collection of microphones and outboard gear.
To ensure both the accuracy of the control room, and artistic inspiration in the live room, we collaborated closely with George Augspurger to design an environment that is sonically precise yet creatively energizing. Unlike many modern studios built around isolation, our space is focused on musicians playing together—comfortably, and in the moment. This philosophy reflects on how many of the records we continue to admire were made: human beings creating music in shared space. Perry has also assembled an extraordinary collection of instruments and amplifiers, all maintained in top working order, giving artists the ability to make the impossible possible.
Studio B features the fully discrete Neve 8078 console originally built for Hansa Tonstudio in Berlin and used by such artists as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, and Tangerine Dream.
The studio supports both analog and digital recording, offering flexibility without compromise. We’ve designed the facility to feel comfortable, private, and easy to access, with ample parking. All of the recording environments offer natural daylight. A spacious, fully equipped kitchen alongside a large communal area provides a welcoming place to pause and reflect.
